Who does this project impact?

The General Public (everyone!)

Everyone is always occupying space. This work matters for everyone because architects and designers shape the space of daily life. We hope that this work improves the well-being of architecture and design processes, which ultimately shapes a more 'well' space and occupants.

Architecture Faculty + Admin
Just as it's important to hear current students' stories, hearing those of faculty members is imperative. We are hopeful that this study strengthens the well-being of faculty members and their students.

Practicing Architects

While practicing architects are not the main subject for this work, they are a large portion of students' hopes for post-graduation. The future of practicing architects starts with our students. We are hopeful that this work encourages soon-to-be architects and also reaches practicing architects in the field.

Architecture Students

Students of all levels studying architecture participated in this project. This work represents both researched and direct experiences from architecture students. We are hopeful that this message supports the well-being of future students at UWM and beyond.

Missing Pieces is an architectural research project supported by

Assistant Professor Trudy Watt, the Living Well Initiative,

the Office of Undergraduate Research, and the Honors College

at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

This project could not have been completed without their endless support.
